Things I did yesterday:

Bought four new books for under $4 a piece.  I found that I am drawn to books by interesting covers.  It has nothing to do with content or authors I like.  If the cover isn’t interesting I am probably not going to purchase it.

Took care of my very efficient squirrel trap.  If you don’t know ask me because I’m sure the ASPCA would burn my house down if I posted a description of it online.

Found out that the Del-Ton kit that I have been drooling over is very easy to put together, good quality, and very accurate for the price.

The Springfield XD40 WILL be my next firearms purchase.  I have found a great price and it seems to fit my hand much better than any other .40.  One of my friends has the 9mm version of this gun and I had a shot at one a year or so ago, but the cash wasn’t there.  It will be and soon.

Learned Surplus Sales and Surplus City are two completely different stores.  Should have verified that before driving all over Paducah.  Neither place was really productive for me though.

Learned that it is becoming much easier to spend a ton on our animals and next to nothing on ourselves.  Priority problems?

Mowed the lawn and cleaned up the yard a bit without feeling like it was a burden.  I am really getting old.

  1. With dogs like ours, who wouldn’t want to buy them the things they need? The wags of our dogs’ tails could cure any bad day.

Also, the yard looks great. :-)

    Rest in peace, squirrels.
